"Dizzy" Web Gallery is comprised of 2 main modules: generator and renderer.
The generator can be thought of as an off-line CMS module that is given a collection of images and turns it into the necessary
gallery artifacts and code. The renderer is the unchanging component that is run on the client to properly render said gallery artifacts.
The generator is written as a Java application and can be invoked either directly or (by default) through the main renderer
Ant build file. Gallery generator uses Java and XSLT technologies. The renderer is written in Java,
but is turned into runtime Javascript by way of Google Web Toolkit. While there are
many ways it can be integrated into your production environment, no code is executed on the server by default and therefore
any standard web server technology can be employed. The default sample gallery is integrated with jQuery,
but other client-side frameworks or technologies can be used as well.
Welcome to "Dizzy" Web Gallery OSS project. Below, you should see a sample gallery this tool is capable of producing.
